Convert images to Karuta Studio style using a 64-color palette

"Sketch It"

What it does

The Sketch It feature converts any image into a stylized artwork using Karuta Studio's official 64-color palette. This creates card-style illustrations that match the visual aesthetic of the Karuta.

Basic Usage

Commands

  • Primary: makesketch [image_url] or sketchit [image_url]
  • Browse Gallery: sketch (view existing sketches)
Quick Processing
sketchit [image_url] --quick    # Fast processing with defaults
sketchit [image_url] --fast     # Ultra-fast mode
sketchit --stats                # Show 64-color palette

Processing Options

Color Matching Algorithms
  • RGB Distance: Fast Euclidean color matching (default)
  • Delta-E LAB: Perceptually accurate color matching (slower) - Premium Feature
  • Uses pre-computed RGBA palette for performance
Visual Enhancements
  • Floyd-Steinberg Dithering: Reduces color banding
  • Saturation Adjustment: 50-150% intensity control
  • Color Exclusion: Remove specific colors from palette
  • Custom Dimensions: Default 381x570px (Karuta card size)
Processing Flags
--rgb          # RGB color matching (faster)
--deltae       # Delta-E color matching (accurate) - Premium only
--dither       # Enable dithering
--size WxH     # Custom dimensions (e.g., --size 520x720)

  • Bits Frames: Standard currency-based frames
  • Carousel Frames: Daily rotating special frames
  • Special Frames: Limited-time event rewards
  • Event Frames: Seasonal and holiday themes
  • Monthly Frames: Monthly exclusive designs
  • Ranked Frames: Dojo ranking achievement frames

Manual Selection

  • Type comma-separated frame names: brass, mirrored energy, cherry blossom
  • Case-insensitive fuzzy matching
  • Automatic prefix removal (bits-, carousel-, etc.)
  • Maximum 10 frames per test session
