acct runs a card competition as a tournament. Members enter their cards, Keqing seeds a single- or double-elimination bracket, and every round posts all of its duels at once, each as an image and a Discord poll. When a round's polls close, the next round goes up by itself, until one card is left.
Tournaments use the same Host role and poll length as card competitions, both set on the Card competitions page of the dashboard. Only members with the host role can create or run a tournament. Anyone can check on one with acct status.
Open registration
Run acct create in the channel where people should enter. Add a size, a poll length and a channel for the duels if you want them, for example acct create 16 6h #card-comp. The duel channel has to be a channel, not a thread. Without them, it takes 16 cards and uses the dashboard's poll length.
Enter cards
Members run kci <code> in that channel. Karuta's idol view works too. Keqing adds each card it sees and reacts with ✅. A member can enter as many cards as they like, but each card only once. Registration stays open for 15 minutes. After that, or after a restart, run acct open to take more cards.
Start
Press Start on the registration message, or run acct start. You need at least 3 cards. Keqing first asks where the duels should go, with the channel from create already picked. Choose another one if you like, then press Start in #channel. Keqing shuffles the cards into a bracket and posts round one. To skip the question, name the channel: acct start #card-comp-duels. If nobody answers within a minute, registration goes back to paused and acct start asks again.
Vote
Each round posts a message with the bracket, then its duels in the same channel. Members vote in the polls. When the last poll of a round closes, the next round starts.
The ✅ means it is in. The panel above is edited as cards arrive, so Misdreavus is already its fifth line.
Rem is already on the list, so Karuta's reply gets an answer instead of a ✅:
Sizes run from 3 to 32 cards, and polls from 1 hour to 32 days (768h). A bracket that isn't full gives some first-round cards a bye, so they go straight to round two.
Each round opens with the bracket so far, then posts its duels one after another: a picture of the two cards, then the poll.
Match 2, Nezuko Kamado against Keqing, follows the same way.
Add double to create for an upper and a lower bracket, for example acct create 8 6h double. It runs like a Valorant Champions playoff:
Duels are named by their place in the bracket, such as Lower round 1 #2. A double bracket plays about twice as many duels, so it takes longer than a single one with the same poll length. The sample bracket below shows one played through, with a card that lost the upper final and still won the grand final.
With long polls, the last two rounds of a double bracket are one duel each: the lower final, then the grand final. That's two days of a single poll if each round lasts 24 hours. A final three replaces both with one round.
Once the upper final and the lower round before the lower final are decided, three cards are left: the upper final's winner, its loser, and the card that came through the lower bracket. Add one of these to create to choose how they play:
--robin
acct pick <code>.--1v1v1
Final three #2, Misdreavus against Rem, and #3, Keqing against Rem, are posted right after, each with its own picture and poll.
For example, acct create 8 24h double --robin. Either option makes the bracket double elimination on its own, so double is optional. With 8 cards a final three takes 5 rounds instead of 6, and the last round has three duels instead of one. The other two cards place 2nd and 3rd by the same order, or share 2–3rd if they finished level. Everyone else places the same way as in a normal double bracket.
In the duel channel Keqing needs to view the channel, send messages, embed links, attach files, create polls and read message history. It checks these at create and again when you pick a channel, and tells you which one is missing.
acct status
acct on its own does the same.acct end
acct pick <code>
acct remove <code>
acct open
acct cancel
Only members with the host role can press the registration buttons. If a poll ends in a tie, Keqing pings the host to pick the winner. If a poll's message was deleted, Keqing posts that duel again with a new poll. Rounds keep going through a Keqing restart: a poll that closed while Keqing was offline is read once it is back. If Keqing loses access to the duel channel, the round waits instead, and the host hears about it once, in the channel or by DM. It carries on as soon as the permissions are back. When the final closes, Keqing posts the champion with the full bracket and pings the card's owner. acct, acardtournament and atournament all work.
Every tournament has its own page on keqingbot.com. The round messages and acct status carry an Open bracket button.
keqingbot.com/cardcomp/<id> shows the server, host and settings, the duels still open with a link to vote on each, every card that entered with the place it finished in, and the final standings once it's over. Places follow Valorant's results tables: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, then a shared range such as 5–6th for every card that went out in the same round.keqingbot.com/cardcomp/<id>/bracket shows the whole bracket. On a phone it scrolls sideways, and the rounds you've scrolled past fold away so the one you're reading stays close together. A double-elimination bracket shows the upper bracket over the lower one, with the grand final and the champion on the right. With a final three, the final three takes the grand final's place. Here is that bracket page on eight sample cards. Switch between the formats, and scroll it sideways to watch the early rounds fold. The places under it are the ones the tournament page lists.
Rubia Natwick
Rias Gremory
Nishikigi Chisato
BaalKeqing keeps its own copy of each card's image, because the image in Karuta's message stops loading after about a day. A finished tournament keeps them, so its page stays complete. A canceled one deletes them.
On a premium server, duels use the Canvas background from the dashboard, the same as card competitions.
